My name is Amanda. I recently got married, started a new job, and bought a house. With all these changes taking care of myself and diet have become less important.This year, 2013, is the year we will start trying for a baby ( later this fall).. I have 8 months to really work hard, get in shape and be my healthiest fittest self before putting my body through a pregnancy. I'm Hoping the Spark Community can help encourage this.

My Program:
I've been trying to keep my diet at less than 100 carbs a day, and only carbs fruit veggies and an occasional sweet potato. I've tried to trade my morning coffee in for green tea as well. Increased my water intake significantly and trying to improve the amount of sleep i get. Notice i say try a lot... we are human, i have not been perfect in this journey by any means and im trying to learn not to take it hard when I mess up. I’ve replaced the mindset of “oh I splurged a little in this meal, guess I’ll be bad all day and start over tomorrow” with “I had a hiccup , let get back on track”

Hey Amanda! For sure we can be buddies! Right now I am doing the January Fitness Challenge (not sure if that is the exact name but you can find it in the challenge section of community I think) It gives you great little 10 minute videos to do once per day and 5 days of cardio of your choice. Right now for cardio it is either Zumba for 20-30 min or my 0 to 10k that I am training for which works out to about 30 minute sessions too. Foodwise I am just tracking all my calories and trying to stay within 1200-1500 and not beat myself up if I'm over
