I'm no longer considered OBESE. What an ugly word. I've lost a total of 32 lbs since the beginning of 2007. Not only have I become my own success story, but I've become an inspiration to others. That in itself is priceless.
My journey has not been easy, but it is not over yet. I still have a few more pounds and a couple of jiggles I want to eliminate. This time, though, there isn't a timeline. I'm healthy and happy with what I've done so far.
My greatest challenge ...

My greatest challenge has just begun. MAINTAINING! My fear is that I'll slip back into my old sedentary lifestyle. Fortunately I found a new love of self and a love for being active. SP armed me with the tools. Now it's time for me to go to work!

My Goals:
My goal, really, is to be healthy. Being a black woman, I'm automatically at risk for numerous health problems. I don't want to "volunteer" for issues. My children are my greatest joy. God blessed me with them so I don't want to short-change them.
My Program:
Controlling my portions, drinking more water, and getting active. Simple as that.
Turbo Jam 3 days/week
Walk 3miles 5days/wk
Ab Jam 3 days/week
Jog 3.5miles 2 days/week
Strength Training 4days/wk
Personal Information:
My husband and I have been together for 13 years; married since 2004. We have 2 children ages 13 and 4. We've lived in Oregon all our lives (yes, black people live here!). I would love to move to the south eventually (NC, GA, or TX).
Other Information:
I'm an extremely humorous person. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I try to find humor in any situation.
My best friend is my grandmother. She is the only reason I'm still in Oregon.
