Losing Weight After Wedding

I am a 26-yr-old college student who was married 10/4/09. Since then I have gained about 30lbs. I was already about 30lbs overweight, so now it's time for me to go hard-core and get some of this off. Luckily my husband is very supportive and I have a flexible schedule!

My Goals:
I want to cross my legs lady-like (which is something I have NEVER been able to do). I want to walk without the sound of my inner thighs rubbing together. I want to shop for clothes at ANY store I choose. I want to spend time with my husband in more active ways.

My Program:
I am finding healthier alternatives to my favorite foods, and am learning ways to cut calories. I've also been trying new recipes that usually turn out as good as, if not better than, old favorites. For exercise, I am using my elliptical at least 30 minutes every day during the week.

Welcome to the EE team!!

Iíve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, itís a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

Check out the main page of the EE team- there are ďstickiedĒ topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post.

Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. Iíve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!

~~best of luck to you on all of your goals!!!

I'm so very glad that you've joined the Emotional Eaters Team. The team is a place where you can vent. And where you will receive some awesome support. Of course, I am biased ... it's one of my favorite teams at SparkPeople! I hope you find exactly what you are looking for! Welcome to the team!

Be sure to ask questions if you have them ... someone will likely have the answer. Use the tools SparkPeople provides. They are invaluable. If you feel an emotional eating attack coming on, come to the boards first. Write about it instead of pushing the feelings away with food. We're here for you!

Eat well, journey well,
