I reached my goal in 2009 and plan to stay there in 2014.

Hello fellow slimmers. "I'm hoping that public humiliation will help me lose the pounds before my doctor decides to weigh me again!" That was what I wrote when I joined SparkPeople. UPDATE: I lost 14kg and reached my goal weight of 60kg in June 2009. In January 2010, I was voted a "SparkPeople Motivator". I am thrilled to be in such good company.

VIRTUAL WALKS: I love walking and I track it by doing virtual walks plus a little jogging and a little stationary cycling.

Around the Irish coastline clockwise from Dublin: commenced September 23rd 2012. Completed 2155 miles by April 12th 2014. Have reached Louisburgh, Co. Mayo.

Around the British coastline anti-clockwise from the Thames Woolwich Barrier: in progress since October 11th, 2009. Completed 5552 miles by Sep 22nd, 2012. Have reached Greenwich, London, England. VIRTUAL WALK IS NOW COMPLETE!!!!!

Thames Path from the source to the sea : completed 184 miles from September 4th to October 10th, 2009. Averaged 5.1 miles per day.

Around the Isle of Wight: completed 67 miles from August 23rd to September 3rd, 2009. Averaged 5.6 miles per day.

Land's End to John O'Groats: completed 1111 miles from January 1st to August 22nd, 2009. Averaged 4.7 miles per day.

My Program:
I have really got the exercise bug and look forward to each day as an opportunity to get fit.

The program that works for me includes deep breathing, stretching, doing the "exercise of the day", Pilates, walking, jogging, gardening, tracking my food carefully and drinking 8 glasses of water daily.



Personal Information:

Not the cats wakening me but I seem to have a few nights in the month when I do not sleep. Of course once I get up kittens want food and to play....would be fine if I did not have to work. Early night for me

emoticon Thanks for the visit! I made the cat tree too, needed something that didn't take up much floor space. The "trunk" is part of the cardboard tube the family room carpeting came on. I painted it then wrapped it in rope. It stands in a plastic Christmas tree stand that I filled with concrete so it wouldn't tip as she mounts it with a leap! The top was a windowsill cat shelf that I cut to fit the tube, carpeted on top she can dig in and pull herself up. She loves flannel mice and they will stick to the rope. I put them on the tree, she gets them off. These are all spark things because when I'm working on projects, I'm not eating or thinking about food. I don't spend much time in the kitchen anymore. Smiles.

Thanks. At this point, I wouldn't care if she''s Zombie like. I just wanted the madness to stop. I told the Dr. I needed an Elephant Gun. He assured me this drug would be one. I'm glad I asked what to do if just 1 didn't work, he said give her another one. She weighs 85 lbs. I wouldn't have doubled the drug unless he told me it was ok... I finally did get her to sleep. Hopefully she will wake up this morning and be more like her old functional self. I really want to get to keep to my exercise routine!
