The Best is Yet to Come!

I love that song, and that perspective. Especially when you think of the life after this life! Seven years ago when I was 47 yrs. old all of a sudden my body decided to change, metabolism slowed, weight came on without changing any eating habits or exercise routines. I gained 10lbs in 6 months. And then I met my husband and we love to wine & dine together! I gained 10lbs in 6 months. And then I met my husband and we love to wine & dine together! Although I was able to get my weight down before our wedding in April 2006, it's been slowly creeping up again. I was learning to cook for two and realized that part of my problem was that I gave myself the same portions as my husband! So I basically needed to eat less, exercise more and learn what my body needs at this stage in my life. Having a crazy work schedule doesn't help the situation! But having goals and documenting them really makes a difference. That's how I got my weight down before our wedding...but it was with an expensive personal trainer. Of course keeping it off is the real goal, and unfortunately I cannot afford a personal trainer for life!! I'm just not motivated enough by myself, so I'm excited to be a part of a group that has the same issues. We need each other to "get there" !!

My Goals:
My goal is to reach my goal weight of 120 and lower my cholesterol to 200 or below. I would like to get back to my Wedding Day measurements---Bust 33, Waist 26, Hips 35 and really wow my husband!

My Program:
My program right now is to eat between 1200-1500 calories per day of balanced nutrition and steering away from sugar the best I can. For starting exercise I want to walk for 30 min. 3- 4 days/wk and do floor exercises with weights 2-3 days/wk and 5 min of stretching everyday.

Personal Information:
I live in beautiful north county San Diego. I work as a flight attendant based at LAX flying within the US, Canada, and Mexico only. I used to fly internationally with Pan Am (remember them?) and was based in London, England. But I like just dealing with 3 time zones now. I was also based in Wash DC for 7 years. All together I've been flying for 23 years now (so much for my bachelor's degree in Journalism). Grew up in San Diego area and Hawaii--back and forth every 3 years because Dad was in the Navy. Other family members still nearby here in San Diego. Married to a wonderful guy for 4.5 years now. Lord Jesus is number one in our lives.

Lol, like the question on your page :). We can do this with God on our side! I fall and eat sugar at times but I don't give up and neither will you. He will accomplish in and through us ALL that he has planned, despite our slip ups. Grace will keep us pushing forward and mercy that is new EVERY day allows us to live free without nasty condemnation....now that is GOOD NEWS! I am down about 24 pounds and I am pressing onward, keeping my eyes on Jesus the entire way (BY HIS GRACE). emoticon
