September of 2009. I discovered it was time I could lose some weight. My daughter had told me about SparkPeople and I decided to try it. I still can't believe how easy it was to lose the first 35 pounds! With portion control and scheduled exercise, I was able to successfully begin this journey. Then in March of 2010 I hit THE PLATEAU.......and I've been there ever since. Up a few pound, down a few. Yes, I've gotten discouraged, but I've kept at it. Log into Spark every morning, count the calories, ride the exercycle, do the exercises, count more calories. I'm in this for the long haul.

My Goals:
Lose 50 pounds
Feel fitter
Have less pain
Have energy to play
Like myself better
Feel pretty
Be able to walk and stand for 4 hours at a time--so I can enjoy our trip to Europe May of 2014!


My Program:
Do stair laps three times a week.
Do crunches, reverse crunches and torso twists 6 days a week.
Ride the stationary bike 30 to 40 minutes, 5 or 6 times a week.
Start walking outdoors as soon as the weather improves.



Personal Information:
Have lived on the Oregon Coast for over 37 years.
Have a son and daughter, both married.
Have two fantastic grandson, Henry,14 and Jack, 11 and a grand kitty named Sasha.
Was a picture framer for over 25 years.
Love to read, cook and sew. I'm a quilter with too many projects going at once.


Other Information:
Think "To Kill a Mocking Bird" is one of the best books ever written.
