A Changed View - FREEDOM!

I finally have a new view on my weight loss goals. If you are a Christian like I am you may see things different too after reading this. My wife read a passage in the Bible to me from the book of proverbs. That is how I found my way of escape.

She read how we should pay attention to the law of God and that it would be life to us. Suddenly it hit me! I have always known over eating was wrong...but never really looked at it as a sin. But it is.

But it is.

I had fooled myself into thinking that food was something else. I fooled myself into thinking it was ok if I ate too much. I would even give myself cheat days on diets.

But I see that rebellion is a sin as witchcraft. Over eating is rebellion against God's law. Therefore it is like witchcraft. This has changed my view and I believe it will keep me on the right path.

I am not going to pretend it is ok anymore. I hate to go against God and every time I eat I remember His word. So I have been pushing the food away when I am done. I have already seen a difference on the scale.

So I am not going to give myself cheat days, I am not going to eat more than I should eat for my healthy weight. I am going to eat what I should as a healthy man.

My Goals:
I want to honor God in all I do and that means I need to do something about this temptation to over eat and procrastinate.

So my goal is to please God.

My Program:
I do not want to live a life of gluttony so I plan to eat no more than my body would need as a healthy man.

I have also found that making a small "to do" list and emailing it to myself keeps me active and helps me reach my goals instead of putting them off.

Other Information:
I love my God and my wife very much. Nothing will be better than seeing their approval of my body changing.

Hope you both are enjoying the visit with Tina's parents this week. It can be wonderful as well as stressful to have company. I try to invite friends to dinner at least once a month to insure house cleaning. I know Tina's parents want only the best for the both of you so I am sure they will be encouraging you on your journey as well.

Jason sorry to hear about Tina being in the hospital, Thank goodness I wasn't anything terrible. I know being sick and not being able to eat anything was bad enough. I am sure you are so happy to have her home. My prayers go out to both of you. Take care and know I am here for you both. Pat emoticon emoticon

We haven't heard much from you two since your Valentine illness. Understandable. But since daily accountability is important, I am writing to encourage you both to persevere. Hope to hear good news soon.

Hope you two are feeling better as we begin a new week. I had to miss worship last week because I was still sick, but should be in the pew this morning. I have been praying for you and Tina on your journey to better health.

Hi, Jason. For some reason I can't get my computer to run any vlogs so can't watch yours. I have tried seversl times. It is not just your vlog, haven't been able to watch any for last 2 days. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong but i'm pretty computer illiterate. Any way I am glad to see that you are back vlogging and still working on getting healthy. Hope you and Tina have a great day and quite romantic evening. emoticon
