A Changed View - FREEDOM!

I finally have a new view on my weight loss goals. If you are a Christian like I am you may see things different too after reading this. My wife read a passage in the Bible to me from the book of proverbs. That is how I found my way of escape.

She read how we should pay attention to the law of God and that it would be life to us. Suddenly it hit me! I have always known over eating was wrong...but never really looked at it as a sin. But it is.

But it is.

I had fooled myself into thinking that food was something else. I fooled myself into thinking it was ok if I ate too much. I would even give myself cheat days on diets.

But I see that rebellion is a sin as witchcraft. Over eating is rebellion against God's law. Therefore it is like witchcraft. This has changed my view and I believe it will keep me on the right path.

I am not going to pretend it is ok anymore. I hate to go against God and every time I eat I remember His word. So I have been pushing the food away when I am done. I have already seen a difference on the scale.

So I am not going to give myself cheat days, I am not going to eat more than I should eat for my healthy weight. I am going to eat what I should as a healthy man.

My Goals:
I want to honor God in all I do and that means I need to do something about this temptation to over eat and procrastinate.

So my goal is to please God.

My Program:
I do not want to live a life of gluttony so I plan to eat no more than my body would need as a healthy man.

I have also found that making a small "to do" list and emailing it to myself keeps me active and helps me reach my goals instead of putting them off.

Personal Information:
I am the leader of an online ministry. You can visit it at http://onthelineministries.com

Other Information:
I love my God and my wife very much. Nothing will be better than seeing their approval of my body changing.

Hope you both are enjoying the visit with Tina's parents this week. It can be wonderful as well as stressful to have company. I try to invite friends to dinner at least once a month to insure house cleaning. I know Tina's parents want only the best for the both of you so I am sure they will be encouraging you on your journey as well.
