I am trying to become more active, and eat better in the belief that how I live my life now will also determine how well I live in the next decade of my life.
So far, it's working. I have more energy. My health is improving. I feel better about myself. I didn't think I cared how I looked. It turns out I do. It's a snowball effect. I feel better. So I can work out now. The more I work out, the better it's all getting. All of it.
My goal is to work out at least 30 minutes 4 days per week, and build up to 60 minutes.
By doing this I will reduce my blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol.
I am now working out 60 minutes 4 days a week. Will try to do 20 minutes on any 2 of the other 3 days, so 6 days I am doing something.

Working out 60 minutes per day on my days off, which means a goal of working out 1 day each week when I also have to work. 4 days total
Add in 2 more days for 20 minutes, 6 days total
I walk up 1 flight of stairs when stairs happen. I park a little farther away than necessary. (Trying to add in other little bits of exercise,)
I am no longer eating to overfull. Slightly hungry sometimes is ok.
Trying to eat 3 healthymeals/day, with protein at every meal to help with blood sugar and hunger.
Recording all my food, and exercise.
I am from Minnesota, now live in Oregon. I enjoy the rain, and find it much easier to commute to work in the rain, rather than the snow!
I have 3 cats(my children). Sometimes I feel like I am living in a shelter! They are all friendly and need lots of mommy time.
I enjoy reading, knitting, and too much tv.
Anything else you would like to tell people. Could include things like your favorite books or movies, a quote, anything.

Thanks for stopping by my page. Apparently my old internet provider blocked sparkpeople.com because I lost access last month. I switched providers and finally got the internet installed this morning. So I'm back again and trying to catch up. It'll take a bit but I'm just so thrilled to be back with my friends. While I was offline I gained weight. Not a good thing but I didn't have SP to keep me in line and I was bad about watching what I ate. I did eat healthy most of the time, just way too much. Plus I snacked.
