10 pounds to goal!

At my heaviest I was 240 pounds. I lost 30 pounds and got stronger in 2008 thru an outdoor fitness bootcamp, then hit a plateau because I didn't change my eating habits.

When I joined SP in Oct. 2012 I was stuck at 210 pounds, and my current goal is 160. I am 3/4 of the way there and the difference in the way I look and feel is huge. I keep being surprised when I see myself in mirrors.

I am grateful to SP and all my wonderful SparkFriends!

Congratulations on more weight loss, I know weight loss is slower and more challenging when one is closer to their ideal body weight like you are, but you are doing it!

So, what did Spark People put your new calorie range as, if I may ask?

Spark said for my age, weight and goal (2lb per week) I should be like 1500-1700. I usually do 1350-1600, BUT I try to stay closer to 1350 most days, and then if I have a special meal, I have an extra 250 x 3 days toplay with so like 750 extra calories that day.

I read a lot of diet plans allow a 3 day calorie banking, including Weight watchers.. but only a few days worth. The drop 10 plan recommends that a person eats about 1350 calories a day on a weight loss plan of a healthy choices and healthy food, and then allow 250 calories A DAY of "happy food" thats where someone can have some candy, or chips, a cookie, or something fun everyday, but if you have a special occasion save 3 days worth so you can still lose weight that week and have an extra 750 that day. Also, if it was an "impromtu" treat, then omit the happy foods for 3 days after.

Anyways, good job staying in calorie range at your lower range... I bet more results are coming.
