Fabulous after 40

I am back again to be with my Spark buddies, and once again to set some goals with nutrition and exercise. I lost my way for a few months, but am determined to get back at it. I do not have before pics when I was bordering 195lbs, simply because I hated my pic taken, and it made me feel worse if I saw one from someone else.Lost 10 on my own before joining spark. I was never sure if I was eating enough when I started the diet, seemed too little but what was too much? A co-worker recommended this ...

I soon learned I could eat more food and I was starving myself most days. Without the tracker I have a good understanding of my foods and calories, however I still depend on it, as it makes me accountable, and keeps me signing into spark.

My Goals:
I would like to reach 145 pounds. I want to stay motivated with exercise and increase it over time so it becomes permanent in my life. I want to continue to seek out different methods of exercise so I can stay motivated.

My Program:
I will start to track my food daily and meet my caloric range. I will try to eat 5 Freggies and drink 8 cups of water daily . I am doing cardio 3 xweekly of 30min. and strengthening exercises atleast 2 x weekly, which I am slowly increasing with number of exercises.

Personal Information:
I live in London, Ontario, Canada. I am 44, and have been happily married for 17 years. We have 2 amazing boys in their teens. I am a registered nurse, and have been working Orthopaedics/Trauma for 23 years. I have never struggled with weight, until the last few years. I believe age and lack of exercise have played a big factor.

Nice to hear from you. Yes, I'm still here - not as much as I used to be, but still tracking and trying to stay on the healthy side of the fence.

Glad to hear you're still at it yourself. I read your status - we had snow again yesterday too (in Michigan)! I'm sooo ready for spring weather.

Hi Cathy and thanks for stopping by my page and leaving me such thoughtful compliments!
We are up to 13 hours and 20 minutes of daylight now... not much more than anywhere else, but that will change soon since we're gaining 5-6 minutes a day.

Spring and Summer are certainly my favorite times of the year. emoticon emoticon
