My name is Amanda and I am 26 years old. I've been wanting to lose weight for a very long time but I've always been too lazy to exercise and eat healthy in order to do so. I have a habit of starting to change this but then falling back into my old habits of eating too much and not exercising. I really want to kick these bad habits once and for all and to start feeling better about myself and the way that I look. I think starting over is the hardest part of the process.

My Goals:
My original goal was to lose 45 to 50 lbs. from my original starting weight of 188.4 lbs. on Feb 2, 2010.

As of Jul 22, 2012 I had lost a total of 37 lbs. However, since then I have gained about 20 lbs back. So my new goal is to lose about 30-35 more lbs.

My new starting weight on Jun 16, 2013 is 170.6 lbs.

I am trying to eat better and not as much and trying to exercise regularly. I have a gym membership at Planet Fitness so I am going to try to go as often as possible.

I live in "upstate" New York.

My favorite TV shows are Friends, Boy Meets World, Scrubs, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, How I Met Your Mother, Community, and The Big Bang Theory.

My favorite music is any classic rock: AC/DC, The Beatles, Blue Öyster Cult, Boston, CCR, Queen. I also love: John Mayer, The Fray, Maroon 5, The All-American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, Kings of Leon, Train.

I can't wait to see your car! I'm so excited for you!

And no, we're both booked during the week. Because I work at an air conditioning company (and not only that, but one that services the super rich people of the Upper East Side- think people who live in the Plaza and all the apartments on Park Ave), I'm swamped everyday with tons of calls from our high maintenance clients. I work everyday from 8-5 (well, it's supposed to be 5, but it usually ends up being 6-ish), and Tim works from 8-5/6 as well. And you guys are busy during the weekend?

What kind of car did you end up getting? You must be so excited to be able to drive yourself places now!

I ran two miles straight last night, with no stopping or slowing down, which is a first for me! I usually run a mile-ish before slowing to a fast walk for a few minutes, then picking it back up to a jog for the last bit, but last night I just kept going and didn't slow down the entire time!

And seriously, if I can love running, so can you. I HATED it until a few months ago.

We need to get to the beach! I've been going a bit this summer, but it's not the same without you!

Hey Bear, I see you're still working hard, that's awesome! Wouldn't it be nice if this is the summer that we actually lose weight, and not just talk about it until summer ends?

For the first time in years, I feel like I'm actually going to lose all my extra weight. For the past month I've been running 2 miles everyday (well, my goal is at least 5 days a week, and I've been running between 5 and 7 days each week, depending on weather or roller skating). I never thought I would say this, but I really enjoy running! Sometimes I feel like I'm going to die, haha, but I feel good while doing it and accomplished when I finish :) I've only lost 5 lbs, but I can tell it's because I'm losing fat and gaining muscle- I've gone down a pant size (and now the smaller size is getting to be loose!), and I feel like I look thinner. I'm eating healthy, but mostly regular stuff- lots of raw foods (cucumbers, sweet red peppers, raw nuts), but otherwise just portioning my cereal, sandwiches, etc.

How are you doing? And, more importantly, when are we going to see each other?? I want you to see our apartment, and I want to see you!

I don't think I'll be able to do yoga this Sunday. With packing everything this week, the move, and then a baby shower Saturday, I think Sunday I just want to relax and get settled in before starting our workout regimen on Monday.
