A NEW YEAR WILL SOON BEGIN. AND, I WANT TO GO INTO THE NEW YEAR WITH BETTER DETERMINATION THAN EVER BEFORE. IMPORTANT TO ME IS LOOKING BETTER IN THE MIRROR RATHER THAN THE POUNDS LOST. FITTING INTO THOSE JEANS AGAIN ~ AND BEING COMFORTABLE WITH "WHO" I AM AND THE PERSON INSIDE.
MY GOAL.. TO BE AS HEALTHY and " LOOKING GOOD" AS OPPOSED TO...good looking ... as a Senior ~ want and need to feel comfortable again with my appearance. Being single means I want to get to where I know I look better than I do now. It is essential that I feel good about myself once again!!
I could spend my time "beating myself up" over what I could have ~ should have ~ done years ago; however, the important thing now is ~ my decision to make this the best of times for myself will be the finest achievement.....FOR ME.
These are my Senior years ~ the upper echelon, if you will ~ and there are still things that I have not yet accomplished. And, for me, to do them in better shape is the best beginning I know.
Onward and Upward, I say!!!
What is important to me is honesty...integrity...sincerity...and a good heart...my goal is to strive to be all of those to family and friends.
Being in control and staying there. Being honest with myself in all aspects. To achieve such, I must place value on that statement.
Originally from Arkansas, I have lived in Europe for many years, and many places stateside ~ from the North to the East to the South. Raised in a Southern home, I was fortunate to have loving parents who loved each other. It helped to structure me. Now in Tennessee, it is lovely here but still not my home. There is much to see and do here and certainly I h ave not achieved a farthing of what I would like to do; however, I challenge myself to always strive for me. I believe I am up for those challenges.
As a writer ~ which I have been most all of my life, the essense of all that I see or do can be found in what surrounds us: the blue of the sky, the green in the trees, a childs' laugh, the speed of a moving train, the beauty of horses running free in a field, a loving whisper from one you adore, and to be alive and know this beauty goes beyond what words can describe. This is only part of me. All else is yet to be discovered. I am still finding out about me.

“This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babe, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”

Oh girl, my joints protest loudly sometimes, and sometimes it is hard to dismount, but the feeling of freedom the Harley gives me is worth the
discomfort. If my back is able, I ride as much as I can. ((the back injury is
due to the 1st husband)
I was having a load of fun today til the sun began hitting me in the
eyeballs, glaring off my windshield so we exited the interstate and headed
the other way. We knew if we could not see, then cars/trucks would have
trouble seeing us, bright as it was, so we tooled around thru town and home.
Have to go gas up tomorrow...lol
