Losing for better joint health

Hello. I'm 62 and have many health issues the most serious of which is moderately severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. At my rhematologist suggestion I'm trying to lose almost 60 pounds within the next year. I'll be making use of my Y membership to help with that along with strengthening my quads to help my knees.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose down to at least 145#'s so my weight won't be so hard on my hips and knees.

My Program:
I will be doing exercise in one form or another every day of the week. I will be walking at least 1-2 miles daily and I will be hitting the Y on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and possibly more often. I will start eating better on April 1 which is payday when I'll have the money to buy some more groceries.

I've been celebrating ALL DAY by reading all the comments that keep pouring in about my blog. Honestly, Spark knows how to make a girl feel special :) But to really answer your question, I went on a big shopping spree to Old Navy yesterday and bought off the rack - and not even the biggest size they had either!
