Welcome to Monyee's world

I'm a retired Coast Guard engineer, busy mom of three, and have a loving and supportive spouse. I've yo-yo'ed my whole life it seems...from size 6 to size 22. I'm tired of this health roller coaster from Hades and want to get off. I know I can lose the weight, having done it repeatedly, but what I really need to focus on is my health and getting rid of bad habits...finding excuses not to exercise, eating while watching TV, eating when I'm bored or depressed, forgetting to drink water all ...

Now I'm on heart and high cholesterol medication.

It's so good to see you back on here! I'm still plugging away...yo-yo-yo-yo over the past couple years. I'm now a kettlebell fanatic though, and I'm planning on getting certified as an instructor, hopefully before I turn 54 in November! I'll be going to Palo Alto to do it, at my mentor's gym. She is my hero - she is very well-known in the kettlebell world, and lost 120 lbs just swinging the bell and eating clean. She was 41 when she picked up her first kettlebell in 2005. Her husband is one of only 9 kettlebell "RKC Masters" in the country!

Oh, and I went to Japan last fall! I went to visit my exchange student from 1992 - and her family! Her parents were my host family and they were amazing. They treated me like the most honored member of their family. I love them all so much!

So what's been going on with you? It is really good to see you back here! We're persistent, and that persistence WILL get us to our goals!
