My Journey continues

Hi
I found SparkPeople over 2 years ago after I had reached a goal of losing 74 pounds.Last year I lost an additional 10 pounds to get me out of the overweight bmr. I felt that I needed to continue with new ideas of better health and SparkPeople was the answer. I have become more active and I am on some teams and using more of the tools that Spark offers. At the prsent time I have maintained the loss over 2 years. I turned 70 in Feb. and my goal is to walk a 10K race before I reach 71.

Hi Monty, I wonder if you can read this in heaven? Anyway It's the beginning of a new year. I started the year out sick & I'm dealing with a lot of family issues. I joined a new team for BLC#30 the spicy sparkologists. I really feel this team fits me well. They let you go at your own pace. Also the challenge lasts 16 weeks instead of 13 weeks. I hope to get back to Onederland by the summer. emoticon emoticon Linda

emoticon Monty & your pep talks. I ballooned up to 225 lbs. I said to myself, enough is enough. No more chips, cookies, candy. I am going to measure my snacks from now on. I found out I don't have the will power to eat them right out of the bag. Plus when you do that you really can't keep count of the calories you are consuming. Please say a prayer for me that I can release this weight once & for all & reach my goal weight. I will stop by to let you know how I'm doing.

Hi Monty, I just wanted to let you know how I was doing. I can't believe it's been 3 yrs. since you passed. I sure do miss you & all the motivation you gave me. I was off track for a while but the BLC#29 starts in two days & that is helping me to get back on track. I did make it to onederland but that was short lived which only lasted a week then the scale went back up & passed 200 lbs. Oh well I am still hanging in their & trying! That is what counts. I sure do miss you & all of your positive thoughts. BLC lasts for 12 weeks. I will stop by & let you know how I did. emoticon emoticon PS. please pray for my DD Holly. She really needs the prayers!

Hi Monty., I'm just stopping by to let you know how I'm doing. I got off track for a few weeks but am back on track again. When I got on the scale I did gain some weight but not as bad as thought it would be. Every time I get close to onederland I seem to sabotage myself. I've been over 200 lbs. for so long as strange as it may sound it's almost like I'm losing part of me which makes me sad. In reality I am losing a part of myself. I made friends on this weight loss journey but instead of going down the villes with them I was left in the dust. These sparkers are now in 150 & 160ville where I should be. Two things that got be back on track & ready to leave twoterville forever! My friend which I went to high school with posted pics of her cruse to the Bahamas in a bikini. She could pass for 25 yrs. old. Flawless skin, no stretch marks or varicose veins, etc. etc. etc.!!! I realize their are some things that are hereditary & you have no control over but if I would have taken care of this body it wouldn't be in such sad shape. I also met a spark buddy that is as determined as me to lose the weight. I believe that nothing happens by chance. It's so nice to have someone that is determined as I am to get this weight off once & for all! I do not want to be left in the dust again. I am back to clean eating. I do eat some processed foods but someday I hope to eat at least 90% clean. Since January I have lost 50 lbs. I know you would be proud of me. I miss you so much! You were one of the best spark buddies I ever had. emoticon emoticon Linda

emoticon Monty, You were on my mind so I thought I would stop by & let you know how I'm doing. As of 1/3/15 I have been back on track & doing well. This time being back on track is worrying me greatly! The weight isn't coming off as fast. Why, who knows? Is my age starting to play a factor? Whatever the reason it scared me enough that this might be my last chance at the weight coming off at a fairly decent rate. I've been living between 220ville & 230ville for over a year now. IT'S TIME FOR ME TO MOVE ON DOWN THE ROAD ONCE AND FOR ALL! I will see Onederland this year that is a promise I made myself. I wish you were here for all the encouragement & support you gave me. I could sure use that now! emoticon emoticon I know your watching over all your spark friends!
