Hello all I'm Monique from IL. I plan to lose at least 160lbs with the help of my family, healthy eating, healthy living and sparkpeople.com. I am 38 years old a wife of 15 years and the mother of two children.

I enjoy meeting people, but to meet people who are going through weightloss as I am is even better. I am a very good listener and friend, this makes me a very good candidate to help motivate people. In addition, I am also looking for friends to help motivate me as well. I hope that there are some people of interest out there so that we can help and support one another.

Please feel free to respond, as I would like to hear some of your plans during the process and your plans after you have reached your overall goals. I have always said that when I reached my goal that I wanted a bad a%% red leather pantsuit with a boustea (I know I didn't spell that right).

So invite yourself in as a friend of mine so that we can shed the pounds together.

My Goals:
My plan for 2009 lose a total of 100 and not give up. Even if I fall off the wagon, to jump back on it and never, ever give up. IT'S MY LIFE

1/20/09 MY FIRST GOAL:
Lose 10lbs end February
Plenty of water/Exercise



My Program:
So far I haven't loss any additional weight. My plan was to first concentrate more on eating healthy. For the past 2 weeks I have accomplished that, however, with no weight loss. I'm okay with that. Starting next week I will begin to go back to the gym. My focus at the gym before leaving a few months ago was the eliptical machine and that is what I will be building back on. I want to get back to an hour of eliptical machine workout. I want to make a realistic goal of 1 month.



Personal Information:
I have been overweight all of my life. I have tried time and time again to lose weight with diets such as the cambridge drink, slim fast, xenical and metabolife. Yes I have had some success mostly with the cambridge (food for life) shake, however, it was temporary.

I found that using these sources is not good enough without a support unit behind me. I would get discouraged when I would hit a plateau. I couldn't get over a plateau and I gave up, not only that I started to lose my hips and believe it or not I do like having my hips. Now I am losing weight not only to look better than ever in my life but to live a longer.
goals are to live a healthy life, feel more confident about myself, shop anywhere of my choice and the best is to one day be an adult that weighs 175lbs
