My name is Monique & I've been on SPARK since 2008. Take in fewer calories than you expend & you have a winning calculation for weight loss. Unfortunately for most of us there's more to it than a math equation. Math was never my strong suit anyway.

I was able to lose 50 pounds last year. I started getting regular chiropractic care, I was eating better, I had a major stressor remove himself from my life, I was exercising harder & more frequently. And it worked. The planets aligned & the weight came off.

I need to re-align my planets again. I've gotten off kilter & lost my way. I'd really like to be a LOT closer to my "ultimate goal" by my 10 year SPARK anniversary. That would make me feel like a Success Story.

* I'm a part time college student who will get her Associate's in May 2017.
* I help care for my 95 year old Grandmother with Alzheimer's

* Walking is the big part of things. I need this not just for exercise but to maintain my mobility.

* Trying Zumba (DONE! LOVE!!!)
* Trying Hip Hop Dance
* Trying Piloxing
* Yoga at least once a week for flexibility
* Strength training to keep my bones strong

    Hi Monique,

    Yes, I have been injured since the end of April while doing a workout running uphill, started my physio on May 5th and I was still training. But on June 24 the workout I did that morning I could no longer walk the next morning. Started seeing an Acupunturist. Physio was telling it was my sciatiac nerve, calf and knew. The Acunputurist was telling me was my hamstring. The Doctor last week was saying the same thing. All this to say, I should have seen my Sports Therapist at the beginning - I have learnt my lesson. I saw her on Monday and doing the rehab exercises I almost not limping anymore.

    Yeah sorta freaking out my daughter's wedding is in 38 days so I am concentrating on getting better to be able to dance and enjoy the festivities as well. emoticon

    Way to go getting to the gym! Mountain climbers are rough and you definitely feel them!! Let me know when you get back to the gym!! I was there yesterday and wanted to go do a spin class from youtube. But I think I will take it easy today! Great job!!
