Hi, My name is Monique Hawkins, and I live in Gore, VA about an hour and a half west of Washington, DC. Thanks for visiting my profile!

Some of the things I enjoy doing is spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling (Kauai is one of my favorite places!), attending church, going to concerts, and shopping. I also enjoy teaching children.

Some of the things I enjoy doing is spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling (Kauai is one of my favorite places!), attending church, going to concerts, and shopping. I also enjoy teaching children.

Another area of interest I have is health and wellness. I enjoy working out at the gym (plus am an P90X graduate!) and doing all I can to achieve optimal health.

Feel free to contact me so we can get to know one another.

I would love to connect with you on Facebook as well.

Fitness Minutes: 75

My Goals:
My current goal is to reach the weight of 135 along with a body fat percent of 18-19%.

My Program:
I have just started Scott Tousignant's "Metabolic Masterpiece" body sculpting program. The workouts really push you and the food plan is very helpful. In the past, I have also done P90X.

Personal Information:
During my childhood, I discovered something very interesting about myself. At any early age, when we were pre-teens, my sister and I were asked to help out in the childrens division at our church. Though we both were nervous at first, we soon discovered that helping and working with little ones was fun and we were happy to do it. I continue to do this years later.

As I grew older, this enjoyment of helping others, especially young people, guided me to become a licensed clinical social worker and behavior specialist for young people with developmental disabilities. While my job can be challenging, it also has great rewards when I see a young person make significant progress in their life.

Now, as someone who also is working from home part-time, as well as mentor and coach to those who desire to create additional income from home, I joined this community to met new friends, network, and share lots of weight loss and fat loss ideas.

Other Information:
Favorite musicians: Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Luther Vandross plus many more!

Favorite Books: The Bible, The Slight Edge, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, The Magic of Thinking Big, and more!

Favorite Movies: Sleepless in Seattle, You Got Mail, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and more!

People Who Inspire Me: Art Jonak, Michale Dlouhy, Roberty Kyisaki, Stephen Bohr, Ivor Myers, Jesus

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
-Stephen Cherniske

Just stopping by to say hello and to encourage you to keep moving towards your goals, Sparkfriend! Even baby steps add up if you take enough of them...and of course, you know you're worth the effort, right? I'm rooting for you!
Hugs,
Pixie

"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."
