A Fresh Start

Hi, everyone! My name is Monika and I live in a suburb of Kansas City. I have two amazing kids, ages 9 and 5. I work full-time for a small nonprofit organization. My divorce was recently finalized which *resparked* my health and fitness flame. THANK GOODNESS because I have been in such a slump! I just bought a house, I feel focused, and things are looking up!

My divorce was recently finalized which *resparked* my health and fitness flame. THANK GOODNESS because I have been in such a slump! I just bought a house, I feel focused, and things are looking up!

I deleted my previous updates because I'm ready for a fresh start! I'm hoping to get back down to my ideal body weight which is around 130 pounds. The plan:
- track calories because I know myself well enough to recognize this is what I NEED for success
-workout at least 5 days per week

My plan is pretty flexible...ON PURPOSE. I do my best to eat healthy foods but factor in treats as well. No time requirements or calorie requirements for my workouts...I just want to get back into the habit!

Hi there! I'm playing catch up and just now saw your message on my page. My baby boy was born November 20 and I too am now back and ready to get on track again. I have some extra baby weight to lose but it is SO worth it. I've missed my buddies here...glad to see you're still sparking!

I did 4 days of 30 DS in a row and then the 5th day I was really sick so I didn't do it and I haven't done it for 4 days but I'm doing it today since I'm feeling better. I felt so sore each day after the shred but I love it! I didn't track my food while I was sick so I didn't eat the best. I'm ready to get back on track today though. I haven't been running at all. Good job on your 3 mile run! My husband ran 5 miles last night and it was the first time he ran since his marathon at the beginning of October. He said it was hard after not running for so long. Are you planning on doing any races in the new year?
