Frog On!

A frog inadvertently fell into a bucket of milk. She began to drown, and couldn't climb out via the tall smooth sides of the bucket. Undaunted, she kicked and fought and kicked and fought. Eventually, with all the sloshing, the milk turned into butter, and the frog was able to hop out. She never gave up but kept kicking and fighting and not giving in to the liquid....

The frog story is not my original parable, but I am adopting it as my credo.

I am not in it anymore to become a sexy young thing. (Impossible at age 61). I'm not in it to even LOSE WEIGHT. You know what I want to lose right now?

I want to lose the health issues. I want to lose the feeling that people think I am a just creature that can't control myself. I would dearly love to lose the excess fat cells filled or shrunken! I want to start living as a full human being, and not predicate everything on whether, I, a fat person, should endeavor to do this.

I want to be a healthy person, content with herself.

My Goals:
I would like to get to the point where everything I do, say and think. Supports a healthy lifestyle.

My Program:
Tracking my calories every day. Even on the days I go over.

Tracking my fiber intake

Going to the rec center and doing water aerobics 3-5 times per week

Drinking 8-10 glasses of water per day

Personal Information:
Northern Virgina (this is a suburb of Washington, DC)

Other Information:
I love the series Firefly. I'm a loyal Browncoat. So sad that Fox stupidly dropped the show after only 1/2 of a season. I have the DVD of the series and the movie. It's the coolest Space western ever!

I love my job: Multimedia Designer. So when I tell you this site rocks, I can do so with some authority. There are some usability issues with this site, but it's minimal compared to the general Internet. The backend that it takes to make this site work is really cool. Great job you SparkWorkers!

Why does your workstation look backwards in your picture? Did I reconfigure it a while back?

Thanks for your kind words on my blog. Denial is a river we've all swam in at some time. My daughter threw me the lifeline and I'd of been a fool not to grab it. I still fight other issues but the journey is a process of self discovery not just pounds lost on the scale. Best wishes to you in your efforts to be the healthiest you can! I love your virtual model pictures. I did that too and found it very inspiring.
