I will be the Biggest Loser for 2008!

Hi...My name is Amy. I am a 34 year old single mom to a 8 year old boy who is so full of energy that I would like to be able to keep up, even if just a little bit! I, like many others, decided to start the new year with a new game plan for getting my weight under control and to become a healthier, more fit person. The place I need the most help wth is the motivation to keep it going for the long haul...not just a quick fix but a life-changing experience.

Update: Yay!!!!!! I lost 10 pounds in three weeks! Thanks SP and everyone who encouraged me! (1/22/08)

Update: Woo Hoo! I have now lost 20 pounds! (2/24/08)
It feels great as my pants are now too big :)

My Goals:
1. I have set a long term goal to get down to 150 pounds by Christmas 2008.


2. Spend time with God everyday.



3. Make sure I am drinking fluid, especially water.



4. Walk or do some sort of exercise for 30 minutes 6 days a week.

My Program:
The Biggest Loser show was my motivator to start this program and my intention was to use their plan. I have since decided to use SP plan. But I still watch the show every Tuesday and weigh in on Tuesday mornings. I also have TBL exercise vidoes to use.

Other Information:
As I take on this new personal task to get myself healthy and fit I will also be motivating my son to eat healthier as well.



I enjoy reading books, watching movies, playing the Wii with my son, paper crafts such as origami and paper folding, and walking on nature trails to see where they lead.

Happy Spring, Amy! Congratulations on the 20 pounds! That's wonderful, and I know how great it is when those clothes get too big. It's great that the weather is changing because it's a great excuse to get some new clothes. I hope everything is going well! Take care!

Yea that's the same thing they say my son has. ADHD with Bipolar disorder. I finally found a doctor that will not say it's bipolar because he's only 8. Instead he says it's a mood disorder until later in life when he can really be tested.
