2013's new Goal

Hi my name is Sandy and I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Yo-yoing anywhere between a size 12 and 18. I started off 2013 well but did not see results on the scales. After 5 months of eatting right and exercising like a maniac I just quit. My doctor told me I was lying on my food counter and was not helpful. Now I know the real problem I was insulen resistant and was having difficulty losing because of it. I managed to quit smoking in 2013 but I ended up gaining 30 more ...

After 5 months of eatting right and exercising like a maniac I just quit. My doctor told me I was lying on my food counter and was not helpful. Now I know the real problem I was insulen resistant and was having difficulty losing because of it. I managed to quit smoking in 2013 but I ended up gaining 30 more pounds in addition to that I really needed to lose so now I am at an all time high on the scale.

2014 will be a year of discovery for me. Learning to maintain my sugar, while losing weight. My family is on board as my husband found out 6 months ago he was pre-diabetic. So now it is time to get serious with our weight loss and get healthy for our kids.

I am a very busy mother of two children. I am the vice president to the PTA, a den leader to cubscouts, a dance mom and a wife of almost 15 years to a retired military man/now college student. Sometimes I feel like I never stop but I am learning how to add my own personal health and happiness in the mix.

2014 will be a year of learning how to juggle all facets of life and learning how to start saying no to people. "NO I will not head up the programing committee" "No I will not be in charge of every single cubscout function on top of being a den leader", No I will not head up every PTA function because I want the PTA to suceed this year". YES I will start looking out for myself and finding time for me!

My Goals:
I would like to be down to 185 by May 15th.

My Program:
Cardio 4 to 5 times a week and muscle toning three times a week. Try to incorporate my children into my exercise life to set a good example.

Personal Information:
I am the mom to two wonderful children. They are my motivation to lose. I would also like to feel good about my size again and finally be out of Lane Bryant.

Other Information:
I am the vice-president to my kids Elementary PTA, a cubscout den leader, a book worm and I love to draw.
