Hi my name is Sandy and I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Yo-yoing anywhere between a size 12 and 22. I have had many ups and downs with sparkpeople. I start off 2015 at 242 pounds my heaviest to date. My goal was to lose 88 pounds. I finished off 2015 at 2013 pounds. I had gotten down to 208 but the holidays hit and I gained some.

Because of health related issues (blood sugars and cholesterol) my dotor has put me on qsymia which should help me reach my goal. My goal is to eat 1200 - 1400 calories a day, exercise 6 days a week.

I still have a long way to go to reach my goal weight in 2016 and but I am sure I can do it with focus and alot of exercise.

My kids are my life and I want to make sure that I get to enjoy many years with them and potential grandchildren. So now is the time to get it together and stay motivated and focused on my goal.

My 2016 goals are to participate in a couple 5K's, drink more water, lose 50 pounds this year, set a good example for my children with eating and exercise, and stay on my spiritual journey remembering daily how to live a better life and treating others how I would like to be treated.

I am the mom to two wonderful children. They are my motivation to lose. I would also like to feel good about my size again and finally be out of Lane Bryant.

Other Information:
I volunteer with PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Church. I also love to read and draw.

    Busy busy (talking about both of us ;) Had a great time visiting with family over the fourth and took extra time to work on projects at my sisters house. All turned out looking good and always so much easier when you have help than trying to accomplish on your own.
    I definitely have lost weight differently this time than the last time I was at this weight. Pants too big but on the other hand not fitting into smaller sizes that I wore in the past and when I take my measurements my arms are exactly the same as three months ago but I can tell sweaters are fitting better in the arms. Will see what the weigh in says, as I am not ambivalent just more cautious that I need to keep what I am doing to realistic so that I can maintain my program in the future. Have maintained nutrition numbers multiple times in our current challenge but I cannot always say that has happened when I look back over the reports over the past few months ( a good reality check).
    Hope that your daughter is doing well and you are seeing the results from all of your effort and work over the past couple of months.

    I am sorry to hear about your recent struggles with strength training if you want a great strength program you could always try the spark people videos or even try looking at how the exercises are done in the exercise library. I workout at home. Or one thing that gives a great calorie burn plus makes you feel good is strength training through circuit work. Check it out you just might find a great thing!!
