Hi I am a soon to be 40 year old mom to 4 children and have yo-yo'd with my weight all my life. In the past 2 years I have lost about 25-30 pounds thanks to Sparkpeople and "eating clean" and now am in toning/body fat mode. While I do have an unhealthy relationship with the bathroom scale I am trying really hard to not focus so much on the scale and work towards losing body fat. I recently was hydrostatically weighed and results were shocking to me at 16.9%!! I was 146 lbs at the time. Since then I have been hitting the gym really hard but am afraid the scale keeps creeping up :( I am hoping I am gaining muscle...ultimately I would like to get at about 15% body fat and 143 lbs.

Eating less and healthy, logging what I eat and excercising daily.

Personal Information:
I am from a suburb right outside of Chicago. I am 5'8" tall. I started SP on Feb 6th 2008 at 174 lbs. I am so sick of yo yo dieting. I would do good, lose the weight then some life changing event woud happen and I'd gain it back. I have always been overweight-ever since I can remember so I don't know what skinny will be like! Well that's it-I am done-I want to be skinny once and for all.
I started a cleanse diet in Feb and while it was probably a waste of money it was one you could eat on. All fresh, "clean" foods so I am continuing to eat like that even though I finished taking the cleanse supplements. And you know what? I am loving it! No more boxed food! Even my husband is supporting me and even cooking "clean" and this is huge because he is THE pickiest eater I have ever met. So I am so proud of him right now!

Other Information:
I love music-all kinds. Frank Sinatra to Akon!
I also love to read-especially the internet. I tend to get wrapped up in something and get obsessed about it. Right now I am addicted to SP, eating clean and exercising. I am also looking forward to planning a girls only cruise in Jan of 2009!
