EDIT: When I originally posted this it encouraged you to pass this award to others. A dear SparkFriend let me know that SparkPeople frowns on this because it wreaks havoc on the site. And I donít want to do anything to hurt the site that I love.

But I am not taking away the award, because you deserve it and I think itís nice to hear from time to time.

Thanks for the WooHoo SparkGoodie! This week I have been taking it easy on the exercise. I tore a ligament in my foot a week ago. We are leaving for our vacation at the end of this week and I want to give it this week to completely heal. I plan on being active on this vacation and I don't want my foot to be an issue. But before that I was focusing on getting in 10,000 steps a day and training for a 5k. This month my goal is to do a 20 mile bike ride by the end of the month. It's ambitious, but I think I can do it. As far as eating, I stay within my calorie range on most days. I've been over a couple days in the last 2 months but it's rare. I don't follow any set plan. I am just making healthier choices and trying to get closer to the right balance of protein-carb-fat. The weight is coming off, slowly but surely. I want this to be a lifetime change, so I'm not depriving myself of things. There is nothing off limits but I am finding that things like fried foods don't really sound that good to me anymore.

14 lbs in 3 weeks is awesome! You can absolutely keep it going! SparkPeople has been a HUGE help for me. Being on here daily helps keep me focused on why I want this healthier lifestyle and I love to be able to encourage others.

And I agree, we will both be fit and fabulous when we are 50! emoticon emoticon
