Unstoppable!
Since discovering the Spark, I've accomplished some amazing things....I've become a runner...NEVER in a million years would I have thought I'd use that word to describe myself! I ran my first half marathon in January of 2009 and finished in less than 3 hours...an incredible feat for me...a runner with less than 6 months under my belt! Since then, I've run several 5k's and I've cleaned up my diet somewhat, maintaining my weight, but not losing those last stubborn 20 pounds I ...

I ran my first half marathon in January of 2009 and finished in less than 3 hours...an incredible feat for me...a runner with less than 6 months under my belt! Since then, I've run several 5k's and I've cleaned up my diet somewhat, maintaining my weight, but not losing those last stubborn 20 pounds I really would like to lose. In 2010, I have decided that I'm tossing the DIET mentality and really focusing on what I can do to fuel my body with the most unprocessed food possible, lots of water and very little junk. I also want to move in ways that I enjoy and that make me feel better about myself, relieve stress and get stronger and healthier. I am a huge fan of country music. Rascal Flatts are my all time favorites....I've seen them more times than I can count...I guess you could officially call me obsessed. Haha! Seriously, though...Their music inspires me everyday. I have been fortunate to meet them several times and they are the most amazing, down-to-earth guys you would ever want to meet. I've made some amazing friends through my love of their music as well. It's just all a good thing! :) UPDATE: On April 1st, I will start the ChaLEAN Extreme program. I am so excited to embark on this new challenge, and to see the results at the end of the 90 days. During this time, I am going to commit 100% to the ChaLEAN program. If I feel I need extra cardio, I will add that in, but at this point, I am committing to ChaLean. It is also my goal to further clean up my eating. I have come A LONG WAY....but there are always improvements that can be made and I'd like to reach for whole foods when I need a snack or to refuel more often than packaged easy, low calorie but less healthy alternatives. I'm under 140 for the first time in FOREVER....now I want to kick it up a notch, get things tighter and firmer and get these last 15 pounds off once and for all.

My Goals:
I'd like to lose at least 21 pounds. My goal weight is 125, but I may lose more depending on how I feel at that weight. I also want to improve my overall fitness, so that I can enjoy activities with my kids and be a positive example for them.
My Program:
As of April 2009, I am refocusing my diet to keep with clean eating principles and portion control. Workouts: Running 2-3x per week, Turbojam, Pilates videos and a little bit of ddr, figure skating or whatever will get me off my butt and moving in between runs!
Personal Information:
I was born in Upstate NY but moved to Southwest Florida when I was a kid, and have lived here ever since.....so I'm pretty much a Florida girl.
Other Information:
I am a HUGE country music fan and I try to attend at least 1 Alan Jackson and 1 Rascal Flatts concert a year, or I go through withdrawals! lol! If I can get away with it, I attend MANY more than that, though. I also love figure skating, but was only a spectator until I turned 40 and I finally took lessons. I fell in love the moment my blades hit the ice! I wish I could hit the rink more often...it's like therapy for me.
