Time to Take Control

Introduction. What sort of introduction?

I haven't always been overweight. That didn't start happening until I was pregnant with my first child and gained a very large amount of weight thanks to pre-eclampsia. I just kept gaining weight after that until I became morbidly obese, with 252 pounds being my heaviest.

After having my fourth child in 2011, I lost a lot of weight. I almost got down to 200 pounds - weighing less than I have in over a decade. Now that he's starting to wean, though, I'm starting to gain the weight back. I don't want to gain that weight back. Time to get my butt in gear!

My Goals:
Lose weight? Sure. But most of all my goal is to be healthy. I am once again a mother to a toddler. He deserves me at my best, just like my other two. I'm certainly not at my best being as overweight and in pain as I am.

My Program:
I'm not much of a calorie counter. I believe it to be counter-productive. My "program" consists of eliminating processed, refined sugar, limiting processed foods, and eating whole foods...even the ones with fat (gasp!). Nothing wrong with some good, healthy fats.

Personal Information:
From Whatcom County, Washington. I now live in Southern Oregon.

I'm a 36 year old homeschooling Mom of three boys ages 14 years, 11 years, and 1 year. I'm also Mama to many precious little ones I won't get to meet until Heaven.

emoticon to the Green Smoothie Lovers Team!
Drinking green smoothies is the quickest, easiest way to obtain incredible health results. Simply by adding one Green Smoothie to your diet every day will start to bring about amazing positive change in the body. When the body gets the foods it needs, it can heal itself. Green Smoothies are fast and extremely easy to make. No matter what your schedule is, you can manage making a Green Smoothie. From start to finish, it takes less than 5 to 10 minutes depending on the smoothie you make, and that includes cleaning up!

Welcome to the Oregon team. Hope you meet all your goals. I just climbed back onto the diet-wagon again a couple of months ago. Trying to stay motivated.

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit."

emoticon emoticon There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something , you do it only when its convenient. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results! emoticon emoticon ~Keith Blanchard
