my life....my journey

Hi I'm Michelle,29 years old and joined spark people in January 2011, at the time my heighest weight was 297,and I felt like crap all the time. I blamed it on working night shift, but after a holiday retreat in the mountains where I got so out of breath hiking I figured it was time to make a change not only for myself but for my children too. ****UPDATE**** Im now 30! And down 135 pounds, trying to get these last 15 pounds off to be pre-pregnancy weight, something I never dreamed possible! I started INSANITY 2 weeks ago and it is going great! My daughter has maintained her weight loss of 65 pounds and the changes in her are amazing, she has much more self -esteem and confidence! We can even share some clothes :0 To anyone thinking it;s too hard or impossible remember our story and know with determination and hard work the sky is the limit!

My Goals:
my goal is to be under 200 and feel better about myself, as well as be able to tolerate outdoor activities!
***Update I am under 200 now and my next goal is to be under 150, and bring on any outdoor activity I"m game :)

My Program:
My diet is High in protein and low in simple carbs, but I eat more complex carbs, and plenty of water!!!

I love trying new strength and cardio exercises, I try to change it up every other month. I recently added running to my routine and love it!

Personal Information:
I am from a small town in SC, have 2 beautiful kids and work as a nurse. I love spreading my wisdom and knowledge to my family and patients.

Other Information:
Never let anyone tell you, you cant instead do it better than anyone ever imagined!

Hello my SP friend! How is it going? My husband and I started a SP team and your invited. So many of our teams went inactive. We want a team that will stay very active and encourage others. What an inspiration you are! I began my journey 2 weeks ago and I weighed in at 297.6lbs! So far I'm down 8lbs and I already feel different! After seeing your progress I'm REALLY ENCOURAGED to keep at it! You look so great,much success to you getting off those last 15lbs! emoticon emoticon
