One Day at a Time

Summer time is here !



Started my journey in 2010. Was up to my highest of 240 lbs. I'm a single mom and decided that I needed to lose the weight for me and for my children so that I can be a healthy energetic mommy to them.
Sept. 2011 - I am down to between 170-175 lbs. My goal ("first" goal) is 150 lbs....will decide when I reach that if I want to try to go lower. I am 5 ft 2 in. Want to be at a weight that is healthy and that I can comfortably maintain. ...

Started my journey in 2010. Was up to my highest of 240 lbs. I'm a single mom and decided that I needed to lose the weight for me and for my children so that I can be a healthy energetic mommy to them.
Sept. 2011 - I am down to between 170-175 lbs. My goal ("first" goal) is 150 lbs....will decide when I reach that if I want to try to go lower. I am 5 ft 2 in. Want to be at a weight that is healthy and that I can comfortably maintain.
July 2012 - Am resetting my goals. Going to make min goals. My mini goal at this point is to lose 1.5 a week to reach 155 lbs by 12-01-12.
January 2013- 183 lbs on the 4th. Haven't made much of any progress that past couple years. Gotta change that this year.
Sept. 24, 2013 - Am now 159 lbs. It has been a long journey but I have not given up. Slow and steady is ok. 9 more lbs until I hit my original goal , but may want to lose another 10-20 lbs after that.
April 2014- Still right around 155-158 lbs. My body is clinging to these last lbs.

My Goals:
I am 5ft2in tall.

Since 2010 I have lost 80 ish lbs. Going to try to lose another 10-20 lbs in 2014 but if not I am getting to the point that I am ok with that. My body may adjust and still make changes even if I don't lose much more.

My Program:
I get bored with exercise easy so I mix it up.

I have a stationary bike and a mini trampoline at home.

Have several workout dvds such as Leslie Sansone, Richard Simmons, etc.

Strength exercises are my weakness. Not even sure what to do.





Other Information:
I love to read Christian fiction. Karen Kingsbury is my favorite author.

Enjoy watching Biggest Loser and excited to see the new season starting this week.

I was just looking at your sparkpage!! You have really come far in this journey of yours!! I am so proud of you!! You mention on your page that you are not sure about strength training. Have you passed that problem yet? If not, go to Fitness Generator here on SP and it will give you sets of exercises and suggestions to help you. It is amazing how most good strength training can be done without equipment!! Once again, congrats on the pounds lost, and keep up the good work as you head towards maintenance!!! emoticon
