Monsters On The Lose

I am a ThirtySomething Mommy, who works part time as a Children's Ministry Director at our church. I am momma to four "lilmonsters" who aren't really monsters, its just a nickname that has stuck from years past. Our oldest is thirteen and youngest six. They are a source of joy and inspiration!



I struggle with problems with my knees. The doctors aren't really sure what causes the pain, but think it is at least somewhat in part, related to my super flat feet. ...

I struggle with problems with my knees. The doctors aren't really sure what causes the pain, but think it is at least somewhat in part, related to my super flat feet. I've got perscription orthotics and they do help some, but I still have to be very careful how and what I do or I have extreme pain. But I'm determined to do something about my weight.

I mainly track my weight loss by using measurements. They are concrete, yet they show progress! While sometimes the scale doesn't change, you might see a change in measurements of where things are, or are not!
Makes it a little hard to track here since there doesn't seem to be a 'ticker' for inches lost, but thats ok, I can keep track of things at least!

To all who are on this journey with me, it can be done! We can do this by supporting each other and reaching out to encourage one another. One day, one hour, one step at time!

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthy! Its not so much the "weight" that bothers me as much as the fact that I know I'm not healthy. I want to be HEALTHY for my children!

My Program:
my "program" is going to be keeping myself accountable. Watching what I eat, and how much of it. Making some form of exercise a priority in each day. Now that we have a dog, it should be easier to convince myself to go walking.

Isn't that, by nature - personal?! :-)



Other Information:
Favorite books? Movies? Ooh boy not sure I have enough room here! I love to read, and read a whole bunch of different stuffs. Love contemp. Christian music, country...toss in an occasional listen to Les Mis or Phantom and I''m good!
