I think I can! I think I can!...
I'm 33 years old. I have two daughters and two sons (technically). I have a truly precious (and precocious) grandson and the best daughter-in-law ever. Last year, I was doing very well on my fitness. I'm 33 years old. I have two daughters and two sons (technically). I have a truly precious (and precocious) grandson and the best daughter-in-law ever. Last year, I was doing very well on my fitness. I was able to talk 3 miles a day and I had started thinking in terms of serious numbers for the year. I had not lost an enormous amount of weight but I was getting stronger. Then, last fall, I was diagnosed with MS and my world temporarily crashed down. I started to have strong symptoms shortly after the diagnosis. I went from active and vital to full of fatigue and fear of the workout. Suddenly I was told I couldn't push myself because my body was not prepared for it. Doing the stationary bike for 30 minutes with minor pushing left me strongly lethargic for over a day. Plus, instead of being able to walk my son to and from school, I had to be aware of temperature and weather because these too were my enemy. It has only been recently that I've felt ready to take on my weight with this new aspect of my life. I know I can do low-impact workouts such as yoga and pilates, so these will be my new friends. I have been given advice on diet as well, as a component to the weight loss. I'm confident, if I put these pieces together, I will still be able to lose the weight (particularly that which I have gained in the past few months) and live a relatively healthy life. :D
