Living Healthy and Losing Weight

Hi! I'm Jennifer. I have been married to Bradley, my sweet hubby for 15 wonderful years. I am the proud Mom of Tucker, 11, Sawyer, 7, and Carter, 5. I teach kindergarten and have been teacher for 10 years. I am hoping to lose some pesky pounds and get in shape. My Goals:
I would like to lose weight to feel great about my body. I hate to be lying on the beach feeling self-concious. I want to be able to wear a size 8 comfortably. I want to become more active to get my body toned and feeling healthy.

My Program:
I walk after school with friends and walk/jog on the weekends. I do some simple strength training excercises in the evening. I am trying to eat thoughtfully, not mindlessly. I pay attention to what I eat and keep track of my eating. I am focusing on lower calories and high fiber foods.

Cool! I can't believe that C25k went so fast.. although I'm taking a few days off right now due to a cold. 25 minutes seems like a really long time and at the beginning of the run, it does seem difficult. But for me once I get going it gets a little easier and I'm sure by the end of week 7 it would be easier still.. can't wait to say proudly that I have completely finished this program! After you are done, are you going to continue on to work on running a 10k?

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOO! You are doing so FANTASTIC! I hope you are loving the new outfits and just wait til you reach that MP3 Player, you'll be running 6 miles because of the extra oomph the music gives you. I'm always running down the road bobbing to the music. I probably look ridiculous but I just don't care ~ who do I have to impress but myself? Anyways SO PROUD OF YOU SO FAR!!!!!!!!!! YAHOO again :) And keep up the good work!

Lol. Thanks for letting me know that teaching eventually gets easier. I love my job, but sometimes I just feel so incredibly drained by the end of the day. I like hearing that there is light at the end of the tunnel! :)
So, how have you managed to lose so much weight? Around how long has it taken you?
