Quitting Makes It Permanent!

Quitting makes it permanent! -- I "borrowed" this from someone's huddle message a few days ago... but I LOVE it! It's so true! I'm not quitting this time!

I'm a mom of 2 "kids" (18 boy, 20 girl), working a full time, non-active, job...sitting at the computer all day in a middle/high school library.

I hate drawing attention to myself and usually 'work-out' in private, if at all. I have lots of want... little do... when it comes to exercise. I have found that ...

I hate drawing attention to myself and usually 'work-out' in private, if at all. I have lots of want... little do... when it comes to exercise. I have found that I love Zumba and just recently started TRX. I'm learning to "crave" exercise!

I joined WW 6 years ago... lost 15lbs. , got discouraged, ran into money problems, stopped going to WW and have stayed at that 15 pound weight loss.... at least I didn't gain it back! I've been at a plateau for about 3 years... looking for new ways to break that plateau!

I'm doing this the 'right' way so that it stays off... no quick fixes here!

But you, YOU are happening. Do something with that and if anyone questions you say you signed your own permission slip, the one that says you can be whoever the hell you want." - Unknown

Thanks for your comment on my blog.

Your comment about three bites of glamourous dessert made me think of some precious time spent in the subarctic. I was only there for a year, so I don't really know anyone truly well there, but those who live there welcomed us better than family welcomed us back when we returned home. I'd go for occasional Sunday lunch with some ladies and we'd often end up at Boston Pizza. I'd learned to be quite happy with appetizers and half sized portions and one fun day, one of the ladies ordered a dessert that almost seemed to be Divine. Instead of eating it herself, she invited the rest of us to have some. We might want to check who we're sharing our germs with, but I have to admit it was fun! LOL :D (We all shared off of one plate!) A safer alternative would be to order it and a few extra dessert plates and cut it up and share before eating any. :)
