Hi there!

I've been awol for about 2 months with illness and other boring stuff. But I've managed to climb back on this horse and haven't broken its back. Still no job though. I've started selling vintage stuff we find on ebay and it is working out quite well. I was wondering how you are and what is going on?

Thank you for the goodie! Fall is my favorite time of year. So yesterday I was up on the roof shingling and have MY side nearly done. I think I have 6 rows left.

As for the garden - nope - this place had been abandoned for 6 years so we've done everything. We put in the garden and it has been quite the producer. I really can't believe that we've already canned over 200 pints of food and I still have tomatoes coming in. Plus Joe got a deer over the weekend and we are steaking it. (See blog for last night's adventure.)

You know - if you are ever in Oregon - you might just want to come visit our ranch. We call it HeartSmile because when we met, we both said the other made our heart smile. Sappy huh?

Hey,

I have been overwhelmed with work here on the farm! Add to that - we decided to have a garage sale to raise some "garage" funds! We have maybe another week of no rain so we've been working on getting the roof up. Plus all the harvesting and processing of the garden has been in the last 2 weeks. I've canned and frozen a full pantry and extra freezer of food. Then when Joe comes up we work on the garage. It has been exhausting.

This weekend I'm off to the Bend house to try and clean and paint that so we can get it ready to rent.

Oh - I did have a job interview for a bank position. It went well but now days - who knows.

Did you get the job you interviewed for?

I think next week things will slow down for me a bit. At least I hope so. I've still managed to lose weight - my pants are kind of baggy so that's good!
