****GOALS FOR 2016 ******

2015 was less than stellar for me. I was hoping it would be "MY YEAR" to hit maintenance. Instead I got HIT by life.. not that I'm the only one to go through trying times, it's just that I didn't handle the roller coaster very well. Instead of losing 36lbs I gained 16lbs, my body fat % went up and my muscle mass went down... this was NOT in my plans. I did manage to log into sparkpeople every single day for a year ha ha that probably helped me not to gain double what I did, so I'm thankful for that!

I've done a ton of research and came up with a life plan that I think will help ME find that sweet spot for weight loss and over all good health. Now, I just need to work the plan, and when life throws me those curve balls, I'll be ready to hit back!!

I've decided my make my S-M-A-R-T goals smaller, more achievable, looking for a positive less stressful life. Looking for that Holy Grail of BALANCE!! my goal for 2016!!**!!**

I love this...this poem will be my motivation this year!

Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point.

You cannot live a positive life with a negative mind. "Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and the thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself." -Edmund Lee

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."

This tip is from Cleveland Clinic Chief Wellness Officer Mike Roizen, MD, from his new book, "This Is Your Do-Over". Here's a sneak peek at his essential do-over deeds.

We all have disagreements sometimes. Life isn't about holding hands and singing happy tunes to hide our troubles. However, you need to decide if you want to be a "but" or an "and" kind of person. The "but" people don't want solutions. They want to settle. They want to wallow in their misery.

The "and" people find solutions to problems. They inspire others to do their best. They contribute to the growth of people and ideas - and, ultimately, to the health of us all. Even if you are an avowed lifelong naysayer, you still have the opportunity to discover your inner enthusiast. Once you find your purpose and passion, your optimism will increase and your do-over becomes stronger and stronger. In the end, optimism is really just about cultivating happiness in your everyday moments.

Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.

Thanks for the info on the challenges you are doing. I will save the info for the future. My plate is pretty full with the Beck team right now and my knee has been giving my trouble for months and I'm afraid to irritate it more so I will have to be content to plug along at a slower pace.

Keep up the good work emoticon
