I am a Christian, homeschooling mom of 2 great kids. I've been married to my wonderful honey for 17 years. My daughter is in 6th, and my son in Kindergarten. There are a lot of health problems in my family (high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc.). I want to lose weight and exercise to, hopefully, avoid these happening to me.

My Goals:
I want to eat healthier, exercise regularly, and lose weight. I want to eat more whole grains, fruits, and veggies, plus drink more water. I need to raise my Hdl cholesterol some also.

My Program:
Exercise 5 days a week;
Considering South Beach Diet. I'd like to lose a good amount before Disney World.


Personal Information:
Why I homeschool:
1. 18 years is not really enough!
2. 8-9 hours in school, plus lots of homework leaves no time to be a kid or for their own interests.
3. We have no family in the area, so we love the flexibility of taking our schoolwork with us and visiting whenever we want.
4. I like that we can choose the curricula that best fits their learning styles. We are avid readers and homeschooling allows so much more time for it.

I am so frustrated! Both of my feet are very swollen not sure if from my medication or another problem. Just had X-rays today of both ankle's. They swell up on me just when trying to walk or do some Cardio workout. I also recently had an MRI done cause my lower Back area has started in with pain and Spam's. I'm so discouraged as it doesn't seem I'll ever to loose weight I keep adding it on and I'm even on water pills and watching what I eat. But thanks for your reply and your words of encouragement this time. It sure helps to hear from others who care and understand.
