My name is Beth and I am a 50 year old mom of 4 looking to get down to 180# again.

I weighed in at 224 after Christmas '08 and was able to get down to 208 by Easter '09 (6.5 lbs during the Spring Fling challenge.) starting AGAIN early Sept. @214, and AGAIN in April '11 @212. Stayed pretty steady over the past 2 years.

My weight has been up and down forever.
I remember when I was a child, my mother living like me and trying diet after diet~ losing the weight and then gaining it again. I know I need to stick with a healthy plan.
I lost weight in my 30s going low fat. I lost 35lbs at that time after my 3rd child was born. Then came child #4
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2002 after being sick for 18 mos.
I lost weight in 2001 doing high protein, low carb. 45 lbs lost. I was hoping losing the weight would make me feel better. It didn't (as far as the Fibro. was concerned) but I swore I would never get that fat again. Since then I've climbed more than 60lbs.

I know exercise is a key factor in my losing and keeping it off. Never been an exercise nut.
Unfortunately, Fibromyalgia isn't exactly conducive to long strenuous work-outs. My doctor recommends walking short distances a couple times a few days a week. Warm water aerobics are recommended, but for now that is not an option.

Thanks for the welcome Beth! Actually, I wasn't doing the Daniel Fast, I did a full fast but I still joined Susan's Daniel Fast Blog for the Spiritual encouragement. That's how I found you:-)! It also provided wonderful recipes that I'm incorporating into my everyday diet for healthier alternatives! Keep in touch!

Thank you for the Spark Goodie, Beth. I really feel so great about coming to Day21 of my fast. It is so rewarding in so many ways. I am thinking of trying a different choice to fast now. I could kick several habits if I keep fasting to the Lord, as I can NOT break a promise to Him! How is your Daniel fast going? I hope you are also drawing closer to the Lord and having success. Hope you are having a great day! May God bless you abundantly! O, and I know you will put all of your gifts to wonderful uses as well!
