Hello! My name is Molly. I am 24 years old and I have been married for a little over a year. My husband and I live in Kansas with our adorable puppy named Princess. I am currently a full time graduate student working on a masters in special education. My husband works at a preschool and starting in January, wlll be taking classes online to get a masters in secondary ed with a focus in English. I have been overweight since I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in high school. The depression was a big factor in my weight gain because depression either surpress your appetite or makes you want to eat more.... and I was the latter. Food was a source of comfort to me when I was feeling lonely. I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism which also contributed to the weight gain. I am on a journey to a healthier lifestyle. I want to be at a healthier weight of about 160. Haven't weighed that little since I was in high school. I know that my weight puts me at risk for diabetes and other things and I really want to avoid that as diabetes runs in my family. I want to learn as much as I can about how to give my body the nutrition it needs and how to take care of myself so that I can live a long and healthy life. I am not interested in any quick fix diets or any diets that require me to restrict my calories because I want to give my body the fuel it needs. In fact, the word diet is not really in my vocabulary anymore. This is a lifestyle change!
