Thank you for stopping by my page!

May 1st was my wake-up call. I had volunteered to participate in a weight loss study, and at my first screening exam the scale stopped at 94.4 kgs/208 lbs.

I started making active lifestyle changes a month later, on June 1st, and it took me another two weeks to find SP.

My program consists of eating much and often, and staying physically active.

Today (July 14) I'm down 20lbs and my first 10%. It feels amazing! I'm learning more and more about myself each day, and I'm starting to let go of some fears that I've carried with me for as long as I can remember.

I'm enjoying the health aspects of my lifestyle changes so much, that the weight that's come off only seems like a bonus. I'm on my way to becoming the woman I want to be, and the fit mother my son deserves.

My Goals:
I want to be healthy and active for myself and my little boy.

I want to wake up without an aching back.

I want to be able to wear skirts without tights underneath.

My Program:
I'm participating in a weightloss study, and might therefor be taking a weightloss drug - or else I'm popping placebo pills each morning.

The drug I might be on is thought to aid in keeping cravings under control, and suppress the euforic feelings of emotional over-eating.

In any case, I'm seeing doctors and dieticians each month, and between those visits getting support here.

I'm on a 1755 kcal diet with a 48g/day fat goal.

I log my steps, and have a goal of 11,500 steps/day

These goals are set by the hospital staff.

My greatest challenge is getting all the calories I need from food.

Personal Information:
I live in Stockholm, Sweden with my lovely 5-yr-old.

I work as a Special Ed.Teacher/Language Instructor.

I've grown up in three different continents, and have decided to stay in place until I reach my goal weight. After that I'll be off to warmer grounds.
