There is only one teacher. What is that teacher? Life itself. And of course each one of us is a manifestation of life; we couldn't be anything else. There is only one teacher. What is that teacher? Life itself. And of course each one of us is a manifestation of life; we couldn't be anything else. Now life happens to be both a severe and an endlessly kind teacher. It's the only authority that you need to trust. And this teacher, this authority, is everywhere. You don't have to go to some special place to find this incomparable teacher, you don't have to have some especially quiet or ideal situation: in fact, the messier it is, the better. The average office is a great place. The average home is perfect. Such places are pretty messy most of the time--we all know from firsthand experience! That is where the authority, the teacher is.
I really like this ...it is so true life is what we make of it, if we sit back and not exercise and do nothing our health will fail. Our life is a learning tool, if we don't try ..we will never conquer our fears...if we sit on our butts that fantasy job will never come...AND Yes my house is messy!!! Try something new today!
FAMOUS RUNNNG QUOTES:
"When you're stuck sitting in a comfort zone, small problems become magnified. Get out of your comfort zone, touch the edge, and you come back with an appreciation for life." - Barbara Warren, 1943-2008 (Elite Endurance Athlete)
"Nobody said it would be easy, they just said it would be worth it." - Anonymous (Green Bay CellCom Half Marathon)
QUOTES OF COURAGE:
"Courage does not always roar, sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow."
-Mary Anne Radmacher
Buddhism stresses the importance of the present and the future. There is little point in dwelling on the past. Far more constructive is looking to the future and moving forward. What is vital is that we achieve a bright and glorious future through our efforts and perserverance today.
One's true worth as a human being is not a matter of outward appearance or the title, but derives from the breadth of one's spirit. Everything comes down to faith and conviction. It is what is in one's heart and the substance of one's actions that count.
TALK TO YOURSELF:
Feel happier everyday?
Consistently replace negative thoughts w/ upbeat Mantras-(I am calm and centered)
1. envision your ideal life, "my future is bright"
2. repeat your mantra, when you start to bad mouth yourself.
3. Adopt one of these sayings:
-I am strong and can handle anything
- everything happens when it is meant to
- I choose to love and appreciate myself
- I am grateful for the good in my life
- I can make healthy choices
- happiness lies before me
-I forgive my flaws and celebrate my strengths
Elizabeth Kubler-Ross once wisely penned the following words of wisdom, “Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know that everything in life has purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences, all events are blessings given to us to learn from.”
