This is current pic taken just a few days before signing up on SparkPeople in Feb 2010.

In 2003 I was on a very strict low carb diet and lost 57 lbs in just 3 months!

This is after the birth of my third child in 2007, at my highest weight ever--my motivation pic.

I have 6 pics in my gallery

No More Excuses!
I've tried everything else, now I'm trying this. I recently read about people using SparkPeople to lose weight successfully, so I'm giving it a try. I know I can do it, but my biggest obstacles are will power, motivation, and impatience. I need to see results fast and when I don't, I get discouraged. I'm here to change those bad habits so that I can finally be successful in this battle. You can read more about Why I'm Here in my first blog post. If you can relate to anything in my blog ...

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 50 pounds before my next birthday.
My Program:
My plan is to workout at least 5 times a week for at least 30 min. I plan to focus mainly on cardio for weightloss in the beginning & add more strength & toning over time. I am going to finally STOP drinking diet soda, and drink at least 64 oz of water a day. The majority of my diet will consist of fresh fruits/veggies, lots of leafy greens, lean meats & fish, and a few whole grains consumed mainly at the beginning of my day. I will not rid my diet completely of comfort foods, but limit myself to enjoying them in small portions only once a week (i.e. half a cup of ice cream once a week, instead of half a pint everyday). If I don't allow myself this pleasure I fear I will binge & sabotage my goals. I know eventually I will come to place where I no longer want these foods, but telling myself I can't have them will only make me want to rebel. It's how I finally "quit" smoking. I never said I was quitting, and eventually didn't want to smoke anymore.
Personal Information:
I'm a wife and mother of 3 in northern California. I work full time for the government and own 2 businesses. I am a very, very busy Mama!
Other Information:
I like to surround myself with positive people who are happy and secure with who they are and where they are going. No drama, no games, no negativity.
