Hello. I am back to trying to drop the same ol weight again, but I am not discouraged nor will I give up. I have decided to put on a new perspective and a new attitude about my weight problem. I have set some goals and through these goals, there is a better purpose in my workout.

Thank you so much for your sweet note. I'm so glad you joined the team and, most of all, that we're friends :)

As far as Kettleworx, I would not hesitate to use it (personally). You'll see some folks on the team -- actually more KB Challenge than the team I lead -- are VERY passionate about trainers, etc. etc. They actually-- in the past --were more vocal, left for a time, and then just started up again.

I know they hate it when I say it, but I haven't had any training and have done just fine (of course with all the caveats). Everyone, in my opinion, needs to do what's right for him/her.

Personally I'm not looking to be an athlete, instructor or whatever. I know, too, that if I had to go to a trainer, I'd never make the time.

Anyway, my 2 cents. Give a shout if you want to "talk" on email about it.

Nikki

Welcome to the KB team! So glad you joined us.

I love KBs and can honestly say they have been the best exercise I've found.

Please do give a shout on the board with anything! Love to hear from you & get to know you!

Best, Nikki

Hey, yes, I do live in Duncan. We are planning on having a 5K run for this year's Project Graduation Fundraising - I am committee chair for the event. Right now, the date we are looking at is April 30th... I am finalizing a few things to make sure we can use facilities, etc. - and ensure that it won't be hampered by the Memorial Marathon on Sunday the 1st. So, we are about 99% sure it will be that day. Obviously, proceeds go to help our Senior Class celebrate at Project Graduation! Soon as I have the date solid, then I will put it on the website. Thanks for asking~Sheri

Hey Mo,

I am very fortune not to be working right now and am able to focus on me for the first time. Money is tight but in the long run it will be worth it. I have basically made my health my job.

On the calories . . . each pound of fat is 3500 calories that is needed to be burned. So for each pound you want to loss that is the deficit that you need to create.

I am trying to burn just over 3000 calories a day in exercise. This is about 3 - 5 hours a day in the gym depending on my activity and intensity. I monitor my calories burned with my heart monitor. I would love a body bug but just can't afford it right now.

On the biggest loser on know their calorie burn goals are between 6,000 - 8,000. This is in conjunction with their diet is why they are able to lose 10 pounds a week on the show.

Though I would love to see those results I do not think that is realistic or appropriate to try without being in the care of the trainers, athletic medical support, and being constantly monitored by your doctor.

I would like to lose around 20 pounds a month. So we will see if it works.
