Fit, Fabulous and Fierce by 40!

Hello, all! I'm the mother of two beautiful children, have a loving, supportive husband and am blessed with a wonderful family and friends. But the one issue that has haunted me for years and continues to haunt me is my weight! I am totally and utterly tired of thinking about it, worrying about it and allowing it to defeat me and my spirit.

Hello, all! I'm the mother of two beautiful children, have a loving, supportive husband and am blessed with a wonderful family and friends. I am totally and utterly tired of thinking about it, worrying about it and allowing it to defeat me and my spirit.
This is the year that I lose the weight once and for all. I'm turning 40 in July and my goal is to lose 50 pounds. I want to be fit, fabulous and fierce by my 40th birthday. :) Most importantly, I want to be healthy for my children and be around for many years to come to watch them grow and thrive.
Life is just so very short and I really don't want to devote one more year of worrying about my weight and how I look. So my prayer is that 2008 is the pivotal year that I finally get healthy!

-- Increase my workouts to 6x a week



-- Drink more water (12 glasses daily)

My Program:
I currently do cardio 4x a week, and strength training 2x a week. I'm also trying to reduce my portions and eat more fruits and veggies.

Hi there and a belated WELCOME to SparkPeople and the SPClass of January 6-12, 2008!
There's a thread on the team page called POPULAR QUESTIONS where a LOT of questions have been posed and answered. Take the time to read through it as questions you have may have been answered on there - and you may find some questions you DIDN't know you had! Use this board for Q&A only as it is something of a chore to wade through if you're looking for a specific item. (And for me to have to find the most recent question to answer!
