Hi, my name it Heather. I am from Arizona and I love everything about the Sonoran Desert. I joined spark people because I struggle with consistency when it comes to working out and eating healthier.

I am also a workaholic and enjoy going to school. I began my masters program in January 2013. Finding the balance between my life and my career is hard, because I am very career focused and have been since I graduated college. I know that traveling is important to me and getting healthier with help me have more exciting travels. I want to go zip lining, sky diving, bungee jumping, etc.

I am a strong-willed person and hopefully it will help be be successful in my goals.

My Goals:
Decrease my stress level.

Work out and eat healthier.

Lose weight.

My Program:
I walk Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for Cardio. I also lift weights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I would like to take some yoga classes in order to become more flexible and to deal with stress.

Personal Information:
I went to the University of Arizona and I am a huge UofA sports fan.

I am a history teacher and I have been teaching for 7 years.

I am a newly wed and I was married this past May.

Other Information:
I love to travel. Internationally, I have been to England, France, and Italy. In the U.S., I have been to California, Illinois, Montana, Oregon, Kentucky, Washington DC, etc.

My favorite books include anything by Jane Austen or Jane Eyre, the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, anything about History, etc.

    Hello! I am so glad that you're going well on your journey.

    I've pretty much fallen off the fitness band wagon at the moment. My job has hit the busy season and it's eating up much of my time and energy. I know many people can do this - being super busy and still lose weight - I just have to figure it our for myself.
