Comfortable in my skin :)

I was tipping the scales at 200 lbs. going into 2010 and knew I had been living unhealhthy for a few years. After having a scare (I thought I had a stroke-luckily it was not), I realized there is nothing more important to living a fulfilling life than having the healthy mind and body to get through it.

I have reached and surpassed the goal I had set at 145 and am currently at 138 lbs. I wonder what it feels like to be in the 120's? Maybe I will find out. As long as I am in ...

I have reached and surpassed the goal I had set at 145 and am currently at 138 lbs. I wonder what it feels like to be in the 120's? Maybe I will find out. As long as I am in the range of 135-140 I am happy. I cannot believe I have lost this much weight-60+ lbs. I am amazed at myself and able to say that I am proud. I feel like this is my year. :)

Hi - I saw your post on the message board and wanted to come give you some encouragement. I think that you have had an amazing journey and have come a long way from where you started. We all make mistakes. Now is the time to stand up and dust yourself off. You have proven you can do this in the past. Take a moment to refocus on your goals and you will get there!
I read this quote in an article and found it so inspiring. I hope you will too.
"Lapses you can get over. Relapses will happen. Collapse is what you want to prevent"

Thanks for commenting on my blog today. You are right, we have to remember these small victories and it is always great when you hear it from someone else. We spend far too much time being critical of ourselves so when someone else notices--that's golden!

Congrats on losing 60 lbs.!!!! That is my goal as well. Maybe 2010 is my year as well. I know what you mean about having a healthy body and mind to accomplish anything in life. Knocked on your hip bone???? Awesome!
