I am starting over again. Why this seems to be the only cycle that I know I have not figured out yet. I pray that this time I learn how to stay healthy and not allow overeating to dominate my life. I dream of a future where eating healthy and exercising regularly are habits I don't force. Where I can focus on the things around me as opposed to always focusing on how I need to change and improve, lose weight for move more. I am tired and now I need energy. Fuel and exercise ...

I am starting over again. Why this seems to be the only cycle that I know I have not figured out yet. I pray that this time I learn how to stay healthy and not allow overeating to dominate my life. Fuel and exercise will have to help. Lord grant me the strength and perseverance to succeed and help me to help myself.

Almost done with week 2 and I am doing the last day of week 2 for C25K and now I can bike over 5 miles. Both my husband and I are doing well and pray for the strength to have consistency and motivation to carry us through. We have both met our weight loss goals for the month already at week 2 so we hope for more success through out the next couple of weeks leading up to our first track run of one mile. Keepin on keepin on...... ;-)

My Hubby and I are working on some goals together. Our family picture really made us more aware of how much we could no longer avoid getting in better health. We are breaking it down like this.

For the 2010 year
get to a minimum of 200 workouts for the year(works out to about 4 a week)

No more than 50 days of treat foods(approximately 1 day a week to enjoy celebrations like B-days and holidays).

Starting on Jan 1 we will start logging our food again to get eating under control

Once a month through out the year we will go to a track and jog one mile the first month and adding a mile each month until we(or my knees) say that is enough. This will help us reach our goal of a 10k for the fall. To prepare for this challenge I am going to redo the C25K program again because I had so much success with it before my knees started giving me trouble.

So we have daily, monthly and yearly goals to work on and we are trying to be very clear about the goals so there will be fewer excuses while allowing for flexibility for our differing abilities.

P.S. I got a bike for Christmas so I will also be including some biking in my exercise. I am just trying to get my tooshie used to the seat, lol.

Ok so my new son is now almost 6 mths old and I have just committed to my first challenge in a very long time. I am hoping it will help me get my weight under control and back on track to weight loss. Wish me luck and keep me in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks for visiting.

Hello my name is Mary. I have had my wonderful baby boy Tyler and will be starting the road back to being physical this week. I will take it slow at first but am looking forward to getting back to walking. Yeah!! It was a very good delivery and He has stolen my heart already. I couldn't imagine my life without any of my little men.

I find myself in the new year at the half way point of my pregnancy. I am 20 weeks and have my ultra sound scheduled for next Tuesday. I am nervous and excited abut the appt. I have already exceeded the total weight gain I was planning on for the pregnancy and now am trying to regain control. The Holidays were a blur of parties and baked goods. I also was not swimming due to much damage to my hair being a big disappointment. Now I need to get back to it with a swim cap!! I now need to lower my intake of calories and up the out go of them. finding motivation to be on track has been hard. Even though I feel the pregnancy should be automatic motivation. I am hoping that with the support of my DH who is trying to get his health back as well that when the pregnancy is done I will be in a good place of activity and healthy eating to start losing weight. I didn't realize how focused I was before and how easy it would be to lose that focus. Here's to a positive attitude this year and success at finding balance and health in my life and family! I understand about the "free time" after three boys having 3 myself (although mine are older now - 15, 20, and almost 22). As for your problem with refocusing on food, remember baby steps. Focus on one thing then add another when you've got that down. What is helping me (but not today) is planning my dinners. I have a month's worth of meals planned. You can make menu planning family event. Sit down with the boys (well, two of them) and plan your week's meals. That way you get it down and spend family time. If they want hamburgers one night, make them out of ground turkey, etc. Or just plan a couple of weeks yourself and keep repeating them so you don't have to plan every day. Just make sure you hang it up so you and everyone can see it and stick to it.

I did do well with food earlier today but i am focused now for a healthy dinner and getting my strength training in today. So that's a start.
