Hi, my name is Becky. I've been on SparkPeople since December 2008 with a long break in between. I lost 30 pounds and gained it back again (three times now!), and so I am starting this journey again with my ultimate goal being losing 90 pounds. I left my picture up from June 7, 2008 because I was back to that weight on June 7, 2010 when I started this new endeavor. I was about 20 pounds down from there as I restarted my journey again on March 10, 2011. And this time I am about 16 pounds down as I start again on October 30, 2011, so at least I didn't gain it all back!

I am inspired to be healthy for me and my family. I have a twelve year old daughter and an eleven year old son who have learned bad habits from me, and now I want to change those habits so they can have a healthy life, too!

I've been up and down so many times, and I want this time to be different. Why will it be different? I am using different tools, I have a different support system, and I also have the accountability of my mother who has gone on this journey before me (we were on the same plan before, but she stuck with it and looks and feels great!). I am determined to make this happen and not give up despite the setbacks. One bad day doesn't mean a downhill spiral - it should be a chance to learn and correct those mistakes going forward! Most of all, I am going to get my strength from Jesus, as I don't have the strength to do this on my own. I want to glorify Him with my actions and words and pray He will change me from the inside out!

My Goals:
Turn to Jesus in prayer instead of food.

Live healthier - eat better, exercise and lose weight.

Bring variety into my meals and try some new recipes that my family will enjoy.


My Program:
I try to eat several small meals throughout the day, trying to stay in my target levels, and exercise at least 3-4 times per week.



Personal Information:
I grew up in ND, went to college in Nashville, and now I am back in the area near my family. I am married to a TN native (Go Vols!) and have a twelve year old daughter and an eleven year old son. I want to leave a legacy for them in so many ways, including healthy living.


Other Information:
I love to read while I am on the elliptical or on the stationary bike and any other time! I love spending time with my family and friends. I also love playing games!
