"No more looking for tomorrow, today is time for change"

Ok sparkers- i've been MIA for a while and it's time to announce- I'm pregnant! So apparently this means goodbye to weight loss for a while, but i still need to keep myself and the baby healthy so i'm going to try to spark more.

I feel like being a 300 lb girl is taking away from my experience of being a 24 year old girl. I don't even know who I am, mainly because I know I'd be someone different if I were thin.

It's not hard to decide "today is my last day to be fat" but actually making that your last day to be fat is one of the most difficult things ever.

For as long as I can remember I've been choosing random days, starts of months, starts of years, Sundays...to say "today is my last day of being fat"

Well I'm not saying that anymore.

From now on, I'll be saying "Today is my first day of being thin."

I'm so tired of trying and failing. I'm not going to TRY anymore, I'm just going to DO. Forget being fat, it's holding me back. I've got 0 confidence and I'm sick of it.

My Goals:
I'm starting with a goal that's less than half of my ultimate goal...I don't want to overwhelm myself! I can't get instant results and I know I'll just get discouraged if I set the huge goal all at once. Baby steps :)

My Program:
-exercise as often as i can whether it be walking, wii games, exercise videos, etc.
- learn to eat/cook healthier!
-watch the portions

not a strict "program" i know, but it's something.

Personal Information:
Small town New England girl, here. Not exactly sure what I'm doing with my life after graduating from college with a degree in French. I'm hoping to get my Masters in social work in the future, but for now I am a para-educator at an elementary school and I love it!

Bummer about the pool. That really would have been convenient! I guess the river will have to do!
Things are going really well here. I'm still doing my race training, and really trying to get better about doing my own workouts between group runs. I've had a squeak over a week of making better choices about what I eat, too, and that especially feels great. I LOVE not feeling like I'm in mad pursuit of more and more sugary stuff.
It's super cool and breezy here today with almost no humidity. Hopefully that kind of weather will be coming your way soon and you can get some relief!
