Ready to Gain Control Again!

At 53+ I am currently the weight I was on the day my first child was born, and I had gained almost 60 pounds during that pregnancy. I was able to lose most of that weight during the course of the next year, but quickly gained it back with my second pregnancy. After I stopped chasing around little kids, I started gaining between 5-10 pounds per year. BUT IT'S COMING OFF! A weightloss Challenge is making me accountable. And it's working!

Hi there,

Regarding fiber: I believe it is proportionate to your other nutritional goals that you probably entered when you first created a Spark account, particularly with the amount of calories you plan to consume. To set your nutritional goals:

* Go to My Nutrition
* Click 'Change Nutrition Goals' (button is right above Today's Water Consumption)
* Click 'Add Another Nutrient to Track'
* Find Fiber -- I think (relying on memory) that it will tell you the recommended amount of fiber you should consume.

After you've done that, you can check to see how you're doing on the My Nutrition page. To do that:

* Go to My Nutrition - at the bottom of the page, there is a 'Weekly Progress' table that displays all the nutrients that you are tracking.
* For more detail, you can also click on 'See Today's Full Report' button just a little bit above that table to view a particular day. It's there that you can see how much fiber is in each individual thing you eat.

Hope this is helpful!
Sarah
