BE THE SPARK!!!!

No change still fifty something - (Hi I am fifty-something....)

And I still have all the same issue - hey at least I am consitant in something -
This is a RE-FIRE, RE-START to Be the Spark!

My problem:

I know what to do, and have done it before - just need to Do It! .....and keep doing it!

That's it!

I get there but can't stay there. So this time my goal is to really make this a life style change.

What motivates me? My health, my HEART, my spark friends, my husband, my daughters, my friends, but mostly, my heart. Even before my heart issues, it was a big motivator, but now even more so. You talk about WW or knowing how to do it, and need to do it, that you done it before. Well, I have to be honest, WW is great, but if it is not something you can follow for a lifetime, then it is not working. Sparkspeople, I have learned (yes I have done ww too) and several friends combine the two, but I have learned it HAS to be a life style, permanent healthy change. I have been taking nutrition classes, and even with the nutritionist will teach and say, it needs to be a permanent life style change so it comes of slow, promotes more healthy, that we continue at. I have had to look at it as journey, my journey. Many of my long-time sparkfriends all will say the same thing, it is a journey, about chaning lifestyle. You can't exercise every day, lose the weight, stop exercising and expect that it will stay off. This is unhealthy. You need to find a combination that you can live with. Reading labels, cutting out sodium, cutting fat, so many different things. It is slow process. Start with one thing at a time. Example, maybe I am having hard time starting, so the plan for me may be this week, 8 glasses a water every day.... I may have to do that for a couple of weeks to get it mastered, then maybe add in, my fiber, 8 glasses a water and get 25-30 grams of fiber in. Now with my heart issue, I absolutely have to watch my sodium. I have to include that in no matter what. I can't error on sodium. It is pure poison to me. I let myself have a splurge weekend and within moderation, but I paid dearly for it, and I will NOT do that again. It taught me that sodium is so crucial to watch and how bad it is for my heart.

Hello. Wow, love the background. Where is that taken at??? looks like it would be fun to walk...lots of good exercise. I am from Federal Way, so we are not far from each other. I love walking.
